The potatoes are 100% French. The quality of Lay's® relies on 3 ingredients: potatoes, vegetable oil, a dash of salt, and a flavor inspired by the local terroir! Additionally, Lay's® bags are now made 50% from plant-based materials*, in an effort to respect the environment. This percentage corresponds to the amount of plant-based components present in the bag. Lay's® is ISCC certified for its 50% plant-based approach thanks to the mass balance technique. We support the integration of plant-based materials into our packaging by investing in certified supply chains that use renewable materials to replace fossil materials. Plant-based plastics are mixed with other plastics during the production process, following the mass balance principle. This means that we purchase a quantity of ISCC certified plant-based materials equivalent to 50% of the packaging materials. These materials can also be used in other types of packaging.
